The world’s largest trade expo for transport technology broke records in September with nearly 3,000 exhibitors from 59 countries and a staggering 170,000 visitors from 133 nations. InnoTrans takes place in Berlin, Germany, every other year and has become one of the world’s most influential trade fairs for railway, rail infrastructure and transport technology.
At our own buzzing expo booth, we introduced our dedicated ASC RAIL series of extremely robust, flexible, high-precision accelerometers and gyroscopes. They have been rigorously tested and qualified according to EN 50155 to confirm climatic resistance and dynamic-mechanical robustness and EN 50121 to confirm electromagnetic compatibility. They also meet the latest fire protection standards including EN 45545 for electronic equipment on rolling stock.
Complying with this broad range of relevant railway norms and industry standards, the RAIL sensor series significantly reduces individual documentation requirements on the part of operators. All ASC sensor solutions can typically be customized to specific requirements. They often form the basis for new, tailormade product and process innovations developed for, or jointly with, customers to strengthen the safety, capacity and productivity of railway networks around the globe.
At InnoTrans, we further introduced the latest sensor innovations for rail applications from our new partners JAE (Japan Aviation Electronics) and MMF (Metra Mess- und Frequenztechnik).
“Both companies’ products meet challenging requirements and are perfect matches to complement our own range of highly innovative inertial sensor solutions,” says Renate Bay, ASC General Manager. “We look forward to jointly adding value for our customers. With these new partners, we can help grow businesses based on the best available solution across our collective portfolio, to fit unique customer needs.”
“In case you missed ASC at the busy InnoTrans expo, connect with us here to set up a meeting to discuss your requirements,” Bay concludes. “Our team of passionate experts can’t wait to get started on designing amazing new solutions that advance your business and the future of mobility.”
