Analog gyroscopes

The gyroscopes ASC 271 and ASC 273 feature low noise density (0.02 °/s/√Hz), low angular random walk (0.2 °/√h) and excellent bias stability (12 °/h). They are manufactured in a uniaxial and a triaxial version – with pre-selectable measurement ranges of ±75 °/s, ±150 °/s, ±300 °/s and ±900 °/s and providing a shock resistance of 500 g even in operation.

Used in motor vehicle tests, trains and autonomous vehicles Ideal areas of application for these gyroscopes include, for example, yaw and roll rate measurements, as well as position measurements and slippage tests in the automotive sector. In railway applications, gyroscopes measure the track geometry in curves, and the angle of inclination of railway cars when the train is moving. The high-precision MEMS gyroscopes ASC 281 and ASC 283 on the other hand were specially developed for measuring the exact position of trains and autonomous vehicles. They are always needed when the GNSS signal is temporarily unavailable (e.g. in tunnels, train stations or under water).

Our gyroscopes ASC 281 and ASC 283
Feature high bias stability (<0.1 °/h) and very low angular random walk (<0.01 °/√h). They also fulfill very stringent requirements for accuracy (tactical grade), which can otherwise be achieved only with fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG). The gyroscopes ASC 281 and ASC 283 feature measurement ranges of ±10 °/s, ±25 °/s, ±100 °/s, ±200 °/s as 400 °/s and protection class IP65. That makes them ideal for applications in harsh environments.
