Driver, rear and sliding doors on delivery vehicles can be opened and closed hundreds of times a day – often under demanding conditions. Over a vehicle’s lifetime, these repeated loads place enormous stress on components and materials.
To ensure durability and optimize component design, automotive manufacturers rely on extensive fatigue strength and endurance testing. Test cycles can run continuously for six weeks or more, reproducing real-world stress scenarios under controlled conditions.
ASC 4415LN accelerometers and ASC 271 gyroscopes provide the high-precision measurement data required for these demanding tests. Installed at selected measuring points, they capture accelerations, rotational movements, maximum speeds and reversal points. From this data, engineers can calculate the forces acting on components and evaluate material selection, dimensioning and damping measures.
The result? More robust components, longer service life and greater vehicle reliability – backed by precise measurement data.
