The Earth is a hot planet – about 99 % of its mass exude temperatures higher than 1,000 °C. Geothermal energy offers enormous potential for sustainable heat and electricity.

But accessing it means drilling several thousand meters through challenging geological formations – where extreme temperatures, shocks and vibrations make accurate measurement anything but simple.

Knowing and maintaining the exact drilling path is critical for efficient, cost-effective operations. This is where high-performance inertial sensors make a difference.

JAE’s servo quartz-based accelerometers of the JA-5 and JA-25 series, available through ASC Sensors, combine outstanding resolution and long-term stability with exceptional resistance to demanding downhole conditions. Key features include an operational temperature range of up to +200 °C, while the JA-25GA is specifically designed for directional drilling and MWD/LWD applications.
Complementing these solutions, the ASC QF series provides robust, low-noise acceleration measurement for demanding drilling environments.
