JA-40GA
Uniaxial, Q-MEMS
Measurement range: ±2 to ±8 g
Resolution: 1 µg
Temperature range: -20 °C to +70 °C
For high-speed trains, curves present a particular challenge: uncompensated lateral acceleration can affect passenger comfort and limit operating speeds. Advanced tilt technology helps overcome this – but it depends on exceptionally precise acceleration data.
This is where JAE JA-80GA and JA-40GA quartz-based accelerometers come into play. Their servo-balanced quartz technology delivers outstanding precision, stability and resolution, making them ideally suited for demanding rail control and measurement applications.
The JA-80GA accelerometer, for example, offers a measurement range of ±30 g, resolution below 1 µg and excellent long-term stability. It can support precise control of train tilting, allowing vehicles to negotiate curves faster while maintaining passenger comfort.
The benefits extend beyond speed: optimized curve negotiation can increase transport capacity, reduce braking, minimize wear and tear, improve energy efficiency and enhance passenger satisfaction.
