Earthquake simulations and structural integrity tests reveal the answer— including vibration loads that simulate seismic events and other severe environmental influences. At IABG’s advanced test facilities, ASC inertial sensor technology helps engineers precisely measure structural elements, machinery or components respond to demanding dynamic loads.

The triaxial capacitive accelerometer ASC 5511LN is ideally suited for development and durability testing where capturing even the slightest vibrations is critical. Its excellent signal-to-noise ratio and ability to measure both dynamic (AC) and constant, static (DC) accelerations provide engineers with high-quality data for evaluating structural responses.

Installed on generators, transformers, switch cabinets and other sensitive safety-related components of nuclear, wind and other types of power plants, the ASC 5511LN can precisely record vibrations and dynamic forces. This data enables the assessment of medium- and long-term load effects and the evaluation of damping solutions.

This leads to more reliable components, better-informed design decisions and greater confidence that buildings and systems will withstand the unexpected.
