Noise density: 22.5 to 90 µg/√Hz
Output signal: USB, CAN, RS-232
What if regular buses could assess road quality simply by driving their usual routes?
That’s the idea behind an innovative road quality monitoring approach developed by monalysis jointly with the German Kempten University of Applied Sciences. Instead of relying solely on periodic inspections, vehicles in daily service become mobile measurement platforms – continuously generating data on the condition of the roads beneath them.
At the heart of the system: ASC DiSens ECO digital accelerometers. Integrated into public transport buses, the triaxial sensors capture acceleration events along the route several times a day. The data is analyzed across different frequency ranges, enabling road surfaces to be assessed, categorized and changes from normal conditions identified.
With configurable measurement ranges, integrated filter settings and digital interfaces including CAN, the ASC DiSens ECO makes data acquisition and processing straightforward.
The benefit? Earlier detection of road damage, targeted maintenance and lower costs – without additional inspection journeys or traffic disruptions.
Every journey becomes an opportunity to make roads better.
Explore with us the possibilities of turning everyday mobility into actionable road intelligence.
