Noise density: 7 to 400 µg/√Hz
Frequency range (±5 %): DC to 2000 Hz
Before an offshore wind turbine can generate a single kilowatt-hour, its foundation must be securely installed in the seabed. Drilling and pile-driving operations subject monopiles and installation equipment to extreme shocks, vibrations and dynamic loads – making reliable measurement data essential.
High-performance inertial ASC sensor technology can provide engineers with detailed insights into acceleration and vibration throughout the installation process. The gained data helps assess the dynamic response of the pile, monitor hammering and drilling operations, validate installation models and better understand the loads acting on both foundation and equipment.
The challenge? Sensors must combine high measurement accuracy with exceptional robustness. ASC already develops sensor solutions for demanding wind-energy applications, from structural health monitoring to condition monitoring, and also creates customized sensors for application-specific requirements.
Now, ASC is taking that expertise one step further with a new sensor solution currently in development specifically for demanding measurement tasks such as offshore foundation installation.
As when massive structures meet extreme forces, every impact tells a story.
Facing a challenging offshore measurement task? Bring it to us – let’s engineer the right monitoring approach together.
