ASC 4311LN
Uniaxial, capacitive
Measurement range: ±2 to ±400 g
Noise density: 7 to 400 µg/√Hz
Frequency range (±5 %): DC to 2000 Hz
What feels like a minor vibration in a vehicle can have a significant impact on passenger comfort. Human perception of mechanical vibrations varies considerably depending on direction, frequency and amplitude. Low-frequency motions are particularly important: Vibrations up to around 12 Hz can affect the human body; while serious discomfort mainly occurs below 10 Hz – all making precise measurement essential when evaluating ride quality.
The ASC 4311LN is designed for exactly these demanding measurement tasks. This uniaxial capacitive accelerometer combines low-noise performance with a high signal-to-noise ratio, enabling engineers to capture even minimal linear accelerations, low-frequency vibrations and impacts with high precision. Its flat, compact design also facilitates installation in NVH, driving comfort and vehicle dynamics applications.
Reliable measurement data helps engineers identify unwanted vibrations, understand their sources and optimize suspension, chassis and other vehicle systems – ultimately creating a smoother and more refined driving experience.
