ASC IMU 7-MF
6 DOF, modular concept
Acceleration: ±2 to ±50 g
Angular rates: 75 °/s to 900 °/s
Output signal: Analog | Voltage
Ships, offshore wind turbines and oil platforms must withstand complex hydrodynamic forces throughout their lifetime. Long before they face real waves, however, engineers can put designs to the test in simulation basins – recreating diverse water and weather conditions to understand exactly how structures respond.
ASC inertial sensors provide the precision data behind these tests.
The triaxial ASC OS-315LN-PG accelerometer combines high resolution with a laser-welded IP68 housing, making it ideally suited for continuous underwater use and the measurement of even minimal linear accelerations.
For complete motion analysis, the ASC IMU 7 captures all six degrees of freedom, providing precise information on the three-dimensional motion and orientation of ship models.
From towing-tank tests and splashdown simulations to slamming tests on offshore structures: ASC sensors help researchers analyze dynamic loads, validate simulations and identify potential design weaknesses at an early stage.
Because the best time to discover how a structure handles extreme conditions is before it meets the open sea.
Developing next generation maritime or offshore systems? Let’s jointly find the right inertial measurement solution.
