Well-groomed ski slopes don’t happen by chance. Behind every smooth run is a powerful combination of rugged machinery, rigorous testing – and high-precision sensor technology.

Snow groomers operate under extreme conditions: steep gradients, heavy vibration, changing loads and harsh mountain climates. Before these vehicles enter series production, they undergo extensive testing: from real-world load data acquisition (RLDA) on the slopes to laboratory simulations and long-term field validation.

ASC 4421MF (uniaxial) and ASC 5521MF (triaxial) capacitive accelerometers play an important role throughout this process. With measuring ranges from ±2 g to ±200 g and a broad frequency response, these robust Medium Frequency sensors precisely capture the accelerations and vibrations acting on vehicles and components.
