What if hundreds of sensors could be replaced by just a handful – without compromising engineering accuracy?
That’s the idea behind the Durability Transfer method, a novel approach to commercial vehicle testing developed by monalysis that is changing how truck manufacturers validate durability under real-world operating conditions. Instead of instrumenting a vehicle with hundreds of measuring points, engineers capture highly precise acceleration data at few strategically selected locations and use AI-based models to calculate the loads acting across the entire vehicle.
At the heart of this approach is the triaxial ASC 5521MF capacitive accelerometer. It captures vertical, lateral and longitudinal accelerations with exceptional precision across a wide frequency range. While withstanding repetitive shocks of up to 6,000 g and temperatures of up to +100 °C, as demanding truck testing requires.
The difference? Faster test campaigns, significantly lower testing costs and fewer sensors, while delivering superior quality load data needed to optimize frames, chassis, cabins and other critical vehicle components.
Less hardware. Deeper insights. Smarter truck development.
