ASC AiSys® ECO 3321
Efficient and smart sensor systems for connected processes in Industry 4.0 applications
How can aging bridges remain safe, reliable and operating for longer? At Germany’s Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), researchers are exploring new answers – using the historic Nibelungen Bridge in Worms as their real-world laboratory.
At the heart of the project: smart sensor technology from ASC. ASC AiSys ECO accelerometers capture dynamic vibrations and process measurement data directly at the sensor. Integrated algorithms, frequency analyses and configurable parameters enable researchers to generate valuable real-time data for predictive structural monitoring.
Combined with digital sensor solutions such as the ASC DiSens ECO, high-quality measurement data can be efficiently transmitted and integrated into connected monitoring environments. This helps researchers combine current structural behavior with historical and environmental data – providing the foundation for increasingly sophisticated digital twins.
The goals: detect structural changes earlier, predict maintenance requirements and ultimately extend the service life of critical infrastructure.
From centuries-old engineering to smart digital models, better decisions start with better data.
